![]() Mack's 5 & 10 (40's - 50's) Hageman's (60's) J. R.'s Jewelry |
James W. Jenkins: This site was Mack's 5 & 10 Store for a number of years. I recall Mary Ruth Ratliff worked here for years. Several young girls worked here over the years. The Hagemans later purchased the store and operated it for several years.
Elizabeth Ann Gaddy Rivers: I remember when Lois Watson, Sonny's mother, managed Mack's and when Betty Gulledge (Burr now) and Laura Burch (Hunt now) worked there. After Mack's, the Hagemans opened their store here. Today it is J. R.'s Jewelry. It was started by Julia Rae Landon Sellers Griffin but is co-owned now by her and her son, Mike Griffin. |
