James W. Jenkins: Mr. Martin was a merchant with a business in town. They had two daughters, Pat, a classmate of mine, and Shelby Jean who was a couple of years younger. Pat attended Columbia College and after college, Pat married Robert (Bob) Burnett and they spent much of their working career around Washington, DC. They returned to Greenwood for their retirement. Pat passed on January 22, 2007, away after a long battle with cancer. |
