Copied: The Shiloh School District was organized in 1900, and the original school building was built that same year.
The first teacher was Mr. G. K. Laney, who became a prominent lawyer and state legislator from Chesterfield County. A new Shiloh school was built in 1916 but burned in 1931. The original school building, later used as a dewelling, is still standing behind the Shiloh Community Building. The school building that served as the community center was razed in 2005. |
