Curbside Garbage
Service
Residential and
Commercial rollout carts are picked up on Thursday of each week.
Garbage containers should be placed curbside on the evening prior to the
scheduled pick up but no earlier than Noon on the day prior to scheduled
pick up.
Once emptied the
containers should be returned to their storage area by Noon on the day
following pick up. When not placed curbside for pickup containers
should be stored no closer to street than front of home or business.
Failure to comply with this ordinance will result in removal of cart and
$25 cart return fee to resume service. Customer will continue to be
billed for service.
Complaints regarding
residents not complying should be addressed to Town Hall 843-623-2131.
Out of town service is optional for those receiving a utility bill from
the town.
Do not mix
household garbage & yard debris. The Waste Company will not service
your container if items are mixed. (Moving boxes maybe broken down and
stacked inside a larger box and placed next to the cart for pickup.)

The Town will pick up
limbs, and containerized leaves and grass clippings for citizens on
Monday of each week, any overflow will be picked up on Tuesday.

schedule a pickup please call 623-2139 prior to Monday for pickup.
The Town only
services the areas that have been reported.
Items are not to exceed 50 lbs and four feet in length. The Town
will pickup one cubic yard (approximately equal to the size of 2 garbage
roll-out carts) per week. The Town does not pick up waste left by tree
trimming companies. Arrangements for that removal can be made at
623-2139. The Town does not pickup furniture, building
materials, etc. Out of town service is not available.
Annual Residential
Clean-Up
The Town hosts an
annual residential clean up in April of each year. At that time the
town will pickup furniture, appliances, metal, etc. We will not accept
building materials or tires. Out of town service is not available.
Notices of the date will be on your utility billing and in the local
newspaper.
To dispose of these items during
the year the County Convenience Center is located on Goodale Road and
open on Tuesdays, Thursdays and Saturdays from 8:00-6:00 p.m.
